How much does a microdermabrasion procedure cost?

The cost of your microdermabrasion will depend on whether you’re having a single treatment or course of treatments. This can be discussed with your medical aesthetic practitioner at your free consultation.

How does microdermabrasion work?

Microdermabrasion polishes away lifeless skin cells by using unique diamond chip wands paired with vacuum suction to remove cells from the skin. Buffing away the top layer of the skin will make way for new skin cells to grow, resulting in radiant skin.

How long do the results of microdermabrasion last?

Microdermabrasion results will be longer lasting with a course of treatment, but this depends on your skin condition and how many you need.

How many sessions of microdermabrasion will I need?

This depends on the condition of your skin. You can discuss this with your medical aesthetic practitioner at your free consultation.

How long will I need to recover?

There is no recovery time needed after the microdermabrasion treatment. We do recommend that you keep your skin hydrated, use SPF, and avoid heat treatments such as saunas or steam rooms for 2 days. You can apply makeup a day after treatment.

How long does microdermbrasion treatment take?

The treatment takes around 30 minutes in one of our state-of-the-art clinics.

What does it involve?

We use the advanced DiamondTome system of dermabrasion. This helps reduce fine lines and rejuvenates the complexion quickly and without discomfort. It promotes lymphatic processes which eliminate toxins and bring nourishment to the skin. A moisturiser and sun block are then applied as healthy new skin cells are exposed to the elements and will need initial protection. Treatment is carried out by our experienced and fully qualified practitioners in a modern, regulated, well equipped clinical environment.

What results can I expect?

After your course of microdermabrasion treatments, the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles should be smoothed. In addition to smoothing and improving the complexion of your skin, it can give it a more luminous glow and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The treatment

On the day of your treatment, you’ll have time to ask any last minute questions before the procedure begins. Your medical aesthetic practitioner will start by cleansing your skin, then working the microdermabrasion pen in a sequence across your face and neck to achieve an even exfoliation. The vacuum suction will remove the dead skin cells, then a replenishing moisturiser will be applied.

Recovery

You’ll be able to leave the clinic as soon as your microdermabrasion has been completed. Your medical aesthetic practitioner will apply a moisturiser after the treatment, as occasionally the skin can feel slightly tight, but this is completely normal. We recommend using sunblock after the treatment to protect your skin from UV rays.

High quality aftercare is at the heart of what we do, so we’re here to support you. If you have any questions or concerns at all, you can contact your medical aesthetician who’ll be happy to assist. During your consultation, our fully qualified practitioners will provide you with aftercare advice and recommendations for ongoing treatments or skincare products to help you maintain lasting results.
